Tacos with Tag!
Tumblr bliss alert! I learned my pal Tag was visiting NYC from San Francisco via his tumblr and he heard about the new SF style taqueria via mine. Texts were sent, and now I’ve got one really fun taco date to look forward to tonight. Thanks, internet!
This was a delight. The food: surprising and flavorful. The texture was distinctly East Coast, far creamier than what one finds in California, but still vastly fucking delicious. The chips were unremarkable, and therefore inauthentic. A proper San Francisco-style tortilla chip should be memorably terrible, barely distinguishable from actual garbage.
I can speak to what an “East Coast texture” is because I have visited the East Coast on numerous occasions. Each visit has been enjoyable. Some have not been enjoyable.
Pavla was even more delightful than the food. She is sparkle personified. She is like talking to a very smart game of marbles. She is taller than I remember and she has a great new hat.
